Why we're taking part in a hackathon?
Posted July 9, 2025
At StartAppHouse, we love a good challenge. Especially the kind that pushes us to grow, explore new technologies, and, let’s be honest, gives us a serious motivation boost. That’s why we’ve joined the Etherlink Hackathon organized by Encode Club.
So, why do we take part in hackathons in the first place?
- Real-world testing ground for new technologies
The Etherlink Hackathon is a great opportunity to dive into the world of blockchain, smart contracts, and decentralized applications (dApps). It is a rare chance to experiment with emerging tech in a real-world context. - Learning more and faster
Nothing accelerates learning quite like time pressure and a shared goal. Hackathons are sprints – there’s no time for endless planning or overthinking. That means our team gets to practice effective communication, fast iteration, and smart task management like never before. - Building community and sharing knowledge
Hackathons aren’t just about coding late into the night. They’re also about connecting with other developers, exchanging ideas, and learning from industry mentors. Whether it’s a feedback session, a community call, or a demo day, it’s all part of growing together. It’s also a great chance for us to showcase what we can do and what we’re excited to keep learning. - Because it’s fun
Hackathons are a blast. The pace is intense, but seeing your project come to life is incredibly rewarding. And if there’s a bit of recognition (or even a prize) at the end? Even better 😊
The Etherlink Hackathon isn’t just a competition for us, it’s part of how we grow as a team and as tech enthusiasts. Wish us luck!
PS. We’ll be sharing what we’re building very soon!
